Destinations and highlights on the lake
Velden in the west attracts visitors with its lively waterfront promenade and famous castle hotel. From the water, you have a fantastic view of this backdrop. In peaceful Pörtschach, you glide past the flower-filled peninsula, while Maria Wörth delights visitors with its picturesque pilgrimage church on its green peninsula. Krumpendorf and the eastern end of the lake are also worth a detour, for example to catch a glimpse of Klagenfurt or Maria Loretto Castle. Thanks to the powerful batteries of our e-boat, longer tours are also possible, so you can easily circumnavigate the entire 16 km long lake. In between, the clear water naturally invites you to take a dip in the cool water.
How to start your electric boat tour
The starting point is in Techelsberg, where our electric boat is located. You will receive instructions from our staff on site. They will familiarise you with all the functions and explain the controls and various extras, such as the thermally insulated cool box and the Bluetooth speaker system.
Tips for a successful boat tour
- Plan ahead: Boats on Lake Wörthersee are particularly popular during the high season. If you would like to hire our electric boat, please let us know in good time.
Safety first: Life jackets are available on board. And if you go swimming, don’t leave the boat unattended; anchor it securely or take turns staying on board so that it doesn’t accidentally drift away.
Keep an eye on the weather: The Carinthian sun is wonderful, but summer storms can roll in quickly. Pay attention to weather warnings and head for a harbour or shore in good time if a storm is approaching.
Be well equipped: Don’t forget sun protection – the sun is particularly intense on the water.
