Carinthia seen from above! At a height of 100 meters, it is the tallest wooden observation tower in the world and offers a breathtaking view of Carinthia. Visitors can see Europe’s tallest slide in a closed building with a length of 120 meters, a flying fox over 100 meters and a children’s playground.

Each year prior to the start of the holiday, IRONMAN Austria-Kärnten attracts around 3,000 athletes from over 60 countries to take part in the triathlon competition. Among the athletes, the race (swimming, racing bike, running) is considerd one of the most beautiful competitions in the world and has already reached a legendary status.
Commemorating Ingeborg Bachmann, the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize was established by the city in 1976 and awarded for the first time in 1977. Since then, it has been considered as one of the most important literary awards for German-language contemporary literature and transforms the city on Lake Wörthersee into a hotspot in this field during the annual reading competition at the ORF Theater.
The United World Games are Europe’s largest youth sports event. Each year in Klagenfurt over 10,000 athletes from more than 40 nations and all continents compete in fifteen disciplines for precious metal. In addition to the sporting competition, special significance is given to the idea of unifying people, which is promoted at various side events.
With the international music and art festival, the city center of Klagenfurt am Wörthersee becomes a living art gallery and provides a backdrop for the numerous colorful models and installations. Back to Space, time travel or prehistoric experiences make the Klagenfurt Planetarium the place to visit for children and adults. Various introductions of topics take interested people to the world of the solar system, extraterrestrial life and planets. Every day there are several performances, some of which are moderated live.
Klagenfurt Stadttheater is the southernmost theater in the German-speaking world. Here you will find upscale entertainment theater, classical and modern spoken pieces, debut and premier performances, popular musicals, operettas and major operas, children’s and youth productions.
The game concept from the USA provides small teams (2-5 people) with 60 minutes full of puzzles, excitement and fun. Trapped in a mysterious room, the goal is to get out of the room within one hour. You have to carefully examine details in the environment, gather clues, combine things – and above all work in a team.
